Tim Tebow Gets Respect

After destroying the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Mile High Stadium, Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow secures respect.

Tim Tebow’s throwing sucks and his blatant blasphemous Christianity is repulsive, but he owned Ben Roethlisberger and sent the Legendary Pittsburgh Steelers home to watch the remainder of the NFL playoffs on Television.

I loved watching the Denver Broncos stomp the Pittsburgh Steelers just as I did watching the Houston Texans destroy the Cincinnati Bengals.

In the next playoff game Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos have to go up against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots and I just can’t wait to see how the game plays out.

John 3:16

New International Version (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

He will from people who have their eyes open enough to realize a winner when they see one. There are those, however, that want more than anything to see him fail.  For those, there are always creative excuses to fabricate in order to dismiss his success to anything other than his God-given talent.  He threw for almost 10,000 yards at Florida, most in SEC history and widely considered one of the best college players EVER.  He can throw.  People will be surprised to see that he has been ‘stifled’ because his coaches have been trying to tinker too much with ‘mechanics’, etc.  This is the stupidest time to be messing with someone’s success. Save that for the off-season, not for playoff time. They will smarten up just in time (this weekend) to cut him loose and let him play his game. He’s got the “it” factor. That means he can will games to victory because he has that unique skill that can get his teammates play better under his leadership, of which he has much. The ‘experts’ strangely underestimate this most important aspect of being a successful NFL QB.  There are actually many QB’s that have accurate arms but were worthless once they reached the playoffs. Few athletes have that ability to actually thrive under pressure, while human nature causes the majority of athletes to avoid that “last shot” situation to avoid being the goat.  Tebow is one of the rare breed which actually plays BETTER under pressure. This contrast is what causes the clutch players to “rise to the top”.  While others shrink back, the leaders pulls his/her teammates up to play to their potential, or sometimes OVER their potential.  A team of overachievers is a dangerous team.  A strong leader brings players around him to this level….and isn’t afraid to stick his neck on the line to will his team to victory, to take the winning shot or throw the risky pass.  To think, he’s only going to get better.
