standard Pepsi Cannibalizes Flavor Enhancers with Dead Babies

Oh Pepsi, How I Loved Thee….Until Now

 

It’s rare that I stumble upon an article that causes me to do a double take. The one that I read on Natural News yesterday just about sent me off the deep end though.

PepsiCo is using aborted fetal tissue to test new food additives for their products. They are one of several major food manufacturers, including Kraft and Nestle, who have teamed up with biotechnology company Senomyx to conduct such testing.

Apparently, this story broke in March of 2011.  Somehow I missed any mention of it until now, but these companies are using kidney tissue from aborted fetuses in order to create new flavor enhancing chemicals.

I’m not sure how you feel about this, but I find it horrifying that food manufacturers are using human remains so that they can create new artificial flavors to put in our food. It doesn’t get much more unethical than that!

Even though the companies claim that the tissue does not end up in the products that we consume, that doesn’t make it any more acceptable.

And don’t give me this crap about fetuses not being humans. It was a human, and it had a heartbeat, therefore it was alive. To claim that it wasn’t because it couldn’t survive on its own is about is stupid as saying that someone isn’t human and alive if they are on life support. End of discussion.

 

Boycotting Pepsi Will Be Difficult, But It Must Be Done

Even though Mt. Dew is one of my favorite things on earth, what PepsiCo and these other companies are doing is abhorrent. Unless or until they stop using aborted fetal tissue to test their products, I have no choice but to boycott them.

If you have an issue with this practice too, I strongly urge you to do the same, and make your voice heard by contacting these companies to let them know you will not purchase their products as long as they continue to do so.

    Hitler used human remains from the concentration camps to make suasage for the Germans during WWII. The Chinese government has made spam from dead people for over 50 years now, check that can of spam closely, that’s not pig meat your eating.
