standard All is Fair in Love and War….And World War III

And All the Politicians Shout ‘More War Please!’

Child of warAll it takes is about 5 minutes on the internet or in front of the TV to realize that we are on the brink of World War III. Iran is threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation if the U.S. imposes sanctions. The U.S. and Israel have been accused of the recent murder of an Iranian Scientist.  Now, the President is moving 12,000 troops into Libya.

For what??  It seems that the U.S. is intent on antagonizing other nations. The world is fed up with the aggressiveness of the U.S., and China and Russia are preparing to wage war.

All this time, the government has claimed that they’ve been protecting us from evil terrorists who are hell bent on attacking and destroying us and other undeserving countries.

When are we going to wake up and realize that the people who are hungry for war are those that are in Washington, D.C.??  Our President is a war monger. Those occupying Congress are blood thirsty creatures who are intent on killing more of our military members, more innocent women, and more precious children in other countries….more, more, more.

Do Other Countries Really Want War?

Our government wants us to believe that these other countries are trying to push us into battle. That has always been their story, and they’re sticking to it. But is that really the truth?

I don’t believe it is. I do not think that the majority of other nations on this planet are itching for warfare. Of course, there are always exceptions, but for the most part, I think that many of these nations would be happy to live in peace….provided the U.S. would stop bullying them and stop demanding that they run their countries our way.

Contrary to what we’ve been brainwashed into believing, it is NOT our responsibility nor our right to interfere in the affairs of the world. If they are not hurting us, it isn’t any of our business what they do. That’s a pretty easy concept to understand, yet there are still many who believe we can attain peace by waging war. Absurd!

No one wants to be friends with a bully. That is why the U.S. will be left standing virtually alone when things hit the fan.

What irks me the most is the so-called Christians, like Rick Santorum, who have made it very clear that they want more war.  He also believes we need to eradicate the Muslims.  Wait, does that sound Christ-like?  Have we learned nothing from the Crusades?

War is Not the Answer & It Will Never Bring Peace

War is not the answer to our problems. More bloodshed will only result in more hatred from those we have victimized.

In the Beatitudes, Jesus told us:

” Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5)

“Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.” (Matthew 5:7)

“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:7)

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (Matthew 5:44)

Heart-shaped earthNowhere does the Bible tell us that we will be blessed if we ravage, kill, and destroy.

It is time for us to wake up. Not tomorrow, not next year, but now….before it is too late. We must put an end to the endless wars and the senseless deaths that will never win us the peace we claim we want.

We are fortunate to have one presidential candidate who is firmly opposed to war. That is Ron Paul. He is the only one who wants to put an end to the disastrous cycle of endless war.

Will you choose to vote for more death and more debt (war is expensive)?  Or, will you support the candidate that has more support from our military than any other candidate including Obama?

This is a no-brainer for me. I will stand with the men & women who have risked their lives for this country and support Ron Paul.  The time has come to bring all the troops home before another one of our brave soldiers loses their life for nothing.
