If you happened to miss the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics on TV like I did, you may be looking high and low for a video of it.
I’ve been looking for the past week, and haven’t been able to come up with much, because YouTube keeps pulling them for some reason. Most of what I’ve found are just slide shows.
Fortunately, I just stumbled upon a spectator’s video on YouTube that has not yet been pulled. Don’t get your hopes up. It isn’t the entire opening ceremony. It shows just some of the highlights.
Obviously, since it was taken by someone in the audience, it isn’t as great a view of the action as you’d have if you watched it on TV, but it’s definitely better than just looking at pictures.
Many thanks to AlexBDA for uploading the video. Hopefully, it won’t get removed by YouTube. If you view this post and the video has been removed, please leave a comment so I know to delete the blog post.
Also, if you know where I can find a video of the full opening ceremony to post, please let me know that as well. Many of us would love to see what we missed.
